AFF Training

Learn to fly

Learn to skydive solo with the internationally recognized AFF program.

One course, three steps

AFF, Accelerated Free Fall, is the newest, quickest, and most efficient way to learn. You can become a skydiver in a matter of days. The method is accepted worldwide, and the basic course is 7 level jumps from 14,000 ft (4,200 m).

After 6 to 7 hours of ground school, you jump on your own from 14,000 feet. Each level has a goal you practice on the ground and have to meet in the air before you move on.

Your instructor films the jump, so you can see what happened. Most students pass a level in one jump. Sometimes a level needs repeating. The goals stay clear because of the video and the practice on the ground.

How it works

Three steps

You start with ground school. Then levels 1 to 3 with two instructors, and levels 4 to 7 with one. Each level is one jump.

Step 1

Ground School

6 to 7 hours

Before your first jump you learn everything you need for a safe first freefall. Training includes theory and practical drills so you get familiar with the equipment, procedures, and core skydiving skills.

After Ground School, you are ready for your first jump.

Step 2

With two instructors

Levels 1 to 3

Each level is one jump, so this step is three jumps. Two instructors fly on either side of you and coach you with hand signals. You learn a stable freefall, altitude awareness, and how to open your parachute without help.

Per jump

A repeated level is another jump, at the same price.

Step 3

With one instructor

Levels 4 to 7

Each level is one jump, so this step is four jumps. One instructor flies with you. Your instructor releases you and checks your own freefall: controlled turns, loops, and the skill that level is built around.

From AFF to solo

When you finish, your instructor gives you a signed and stamped logbook, plus the videos from your AFF jumps. You can jump at other drop zones and log every one.

You are still a student until you earn your A-license. Your instructor keeps supervising you: a gear check before you board, exercises for the next jump, and an answer when you have a question.

These are cleared solo jumps. You practice and improve, and you write each jump in your logbook. An A-license asks for at least 25 jumps, plus freefall, canopy, and landing skills.

Questions

Before you start

No. AFF starts from your first jump.

Many students finish the course in 3 days. A repeated level, or weather, can make it longer.

Seven levels, and each level is one jump. An A-license later asks for at least 25 jumps in total.

You repeat that level. You do not start the course over. Your instructor films the jump so you can see what to work on.

The minimum age is 16.

Ground school is 350€. It includes the training materials, logbook, registration, and insurance. Levels 1 to 3 are 350€ per jump, with two instructors. Levels 4 to 7 are 270€ per jump, with one instructor. A repeated level is another jump at that same price.

Yes. A tandem is a passenger jump. You do not need one before AFF, and it does not replace a level.
